In its bid to ensure security  at the llorin International Airport, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has warned against incursion of unauthorised persons and animals into the airport perimeter and operational areas.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Affairs of the airport, Mr. Adeyeoluwa Oluwakayode and made available to this medium on Friday.
The statement reads: ” This is to inform the general public that any of the following activities carried out on FAAN land without the permission of the management is illegal and violators (individual or organisation) will be duly prosecuted.
” The offences are trespassing, building, loitering, cattle rearing, excavating, and dumping of refuse.”
It stressed that the measure was to prevent further incursion of unauthorised persons and animals into the airport perimeter and operational areas.
Recall that FAAN had earlier organised a stakeholders’ meeting to curb incursion by cattle, encroachment and illegal mining activities around the airport, and also began iron fencing of the airport for safety purpose.
The statement also solicited support and cooperation of stakeholders and residents within the vicinity of the airport towards ensuring safety of facilities and passengers.
