Kwara’ll host best NIPOGA Games – Dep Gov

 

The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi says the present administration will use sports to positively engage youth.
Mr Alabi who stated this today in Ilorin while receiving the 20th NIPOGA Games National Committee to be hosted by Kwara State Polytechnic.
The Deputy Governor called on the Committee to use the games to discover talents that would inturn develop the State.
He enumerated the various potential and opportunities in Sports calling on the various institutions to use sports to lure youth away from drugs.
Alabi, who described sports as a unifying factor pledged the support of the State government to ensure the success of the games.
Earlier the Acting Rector of the State Polytechnics, Dr. Yekini Oyebode reiterated the readiness of the Institution to host the Games billed to commence from the fourth to the fourteenth of December this year.
Oyebode, stated that all the Polytechnics in the Country would participate in the Games that would features nearly all the Sports.
The Deputy Governor was later decorated and presented with the flag and banner of the Games.
