Make welfarism, your priority, cleric tells KWSG

State, has called on the Kwara State government to make welfare of the
people its priority.
He made his call in his exhortation, themed, ”ย Rejoice in spite of
all odds”,ย at the 47th Service of Gospel Songs of the church held on
Sunday.
He, however, chargedย Chstians to use their talents to praise God and
win souls for the Kingdom.
Speaking at the event, the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode
Alabi, decried the Nigerian system, which he said has been designed to
make the system fail.
He noted that ‘grapevining’ย in politics is a distraction for leaders,
adding that selfishness among politicians also make leaders to lose
focus.
Alabiย therefore urged Kwarans to pray for the Mallam Abdulrahman
Abdulrazaq’s led administration so that it will not beย ย distracted in
orderย to be able to deliver on his mandate toย the people of the
state.
He appreciated God for giving him the privilege to serve , calling on
the people to support the government in its determination to develop
the state for the betterment of all.
Meanwhile, Christians have again been charged to let love be their
guiding principle for a peaceful andย better society.
A Cleric, Evangelist Gabriel Paul gave the charge yesterday in his
sermon delivered at the 54th anniversary of Ifeloju Band of the
Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters.
Evangelist Paul who spoke on the theme “Voice of the Lord”, noted that
most of the vices and evil acts happening in the society was as a
result of lack of love among the people.
The Cleric called on Nigerians to exhibit loveย towards their
neighbours at all times.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church Off
Yidi Road Ilorin in his message titled “honour your parents” explained
that Godย is interested inย how children treat their parents as He
watches to reward appropriately.
Pastor Aransiola stressed that what Children do to their parents is a
seed sow into the future, “because whatsoever a man sows that he will
reap, adding that what you do to your parents today is what your
children will do to you tomorrow.”
The Cleric added that if indeed Children want to prosper in life, they
must truly honour their parents.
The Founder, Believers Vineyard Churchย Agbo-oba, Ilorin, Kwara State,
Pastor Akin Obadofin cautioned Nigerians against hate speeches rather
they should let their utterances be Holy, by saying what is good at
all times towards adding value to the unity and progress of the
country.
Pastor Obadofin said thisย became necessary in order to portray the
image of the nation in good light.
Prophetess Cecilia lbrahim of the C & S Church, Olorun-lsadi,
Gaa-lmam, Ilorin enjoined Christians to continue to pray for their
leaders for God’s direction in piloting the affairs of the nation
while urging them to let the welfare of the masses be paramount in
their hearts.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry,
Amayo appealed to youths to desist from any act that has no positive
effect for their future rather they should remain focused.
