Colleges of Health Tech need Tetfund to thrive, says Provost

 

For professional colleges to function properly and fulfill its core
mandate, Tetfund needs to support them in getting infrastructure,
equipment, training of academic staff, provision of transports and
other basic requirement to ensure qualitative education and quality
health personnel.
This was the assertion of the Provost of Kwara State College of Health
Technology, Offa, Mallam Abdulrauf Aliyu Alabi while speaking with
newsmen in Ilorin, recently.
Speaking further, the Provost appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari
and the National Assembly to consider and approve Tetfund support in
core areas of administration, finance and provision of educational
materials to professional colleges in the country.
He said, โ€œKwara State College of Health Technology, Offa is well
positioned for better performance to serve its teeming prospective
students across the nation.โ€
The academician asserted that products of the Kwara State College of
Health Technology, Offa are not job seekers but job creators that are
contributing to national development.
Continuing, he said, โ€œMost of our products are self-employed with
sound moral character across the country. The training they access
from the college is very comprehensive and can make them survive the
economic realities of our nationโ€.
He however assured President Buhari and the National Assembly to
consider Tetfund support to professional colleges across the country a
matter of priority.
The Provost however assured of sustaining the cordial relationship
among the management, staff and students of the college.
