PDP to Abdulrazaq: Face governance, leave Saraki alone

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has
advised the State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to concentrate his
efforts on providing good governance for the people of the state and
fulfilling his various promises made during the electioneering
campaigns instead of seeking vengeance against the family of the late
Olusola Abubakar Saraki.
The party, in a statement issued in Ilorin and signed by its Publicity
Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, noted that Governor Abdulrazaq has been
focusing all the efforts of his government on โSaraki did this, Saraki
did thatโ, adding that the new administration was not elected to
ignite inter-family war or to settle family scores.
According to him, โThe PDP will like to advise Governor Abdulrahman
Abdulrazaq that he was not elected to fight the Sarakis or to erase
the legacies of the family.ย You were elected to construct good roads,
develop education infrastructure and provide good health facilities.
You were elected to provide for the welfare of workers and all the
residents.
โYou were elected to create jobs for the youths. These were part of
the promises you made to the people. Kwara people did not vote for you
to be pursuing the agenda of ‘Bring down the Sarakis’. By all these
your actions, you are just unveiling yourself for the people of Kwara
State to see your true emptiness.
โAs much as the party will respect the instructions of its leader not
to get provoked and descend into the arena with this Governor for now,
we will not keep quiet while he struggles to rubbish the legacies of
father and son. Anytime we see these devious efforts to paint the
Sarakis black, we will definitely react. We believe today’s ‘Kwara
Must Change’ from this official lies, fabrications and manipulationsโ,
the statement added.
