Kwara PDP, ex-lawmakers mourn BoT member The Kwara State
The Kwara State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has mourned the death of a former Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the party, Honurable Cecilia Bosede Ore, who died in the early hours of today.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its State Chairman, Engr Kola Shittu, the party described her death as a rude shock and a huge loss to her family, the Kwara PDP family and her community in Ekiti local government area of the State.
Shittu described the late Cecilia as a loyal and dedicated party member who was strongly committed to the goals and aspirations of the party. “She was a wondeful person and will be greatly missed,” he added.
“The Kwara PDP condoles with the bereaved family, her relatives, well wishers and the PDP family in Ekiti local government over this unfortunate incident. We pray that God Almighty grant them all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Meanwhile, former members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, have expressed shock over the death of Hon. (Mrs.) Cicilia Bose Ore, fondly called Olobe loloko.
She was the Chairman, House Committee on Environment/Tourism during the 6th Assembly when she represented Ekiti State Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
A statement on Sunday jointly signed by the forum’s Chairman and Secretary respectively, Hon. Abraham Ashaolu and Hon. Isiaka Mogaji and made available to National Pilot in Ilorin described the deceased as quintessential community leader, who was always committed to the welfare of her people.
“Hon. Ore will be remembered for her sense of humour, honesty and her contributions to the development of parliamentary democracy in the State”, the statement added.
The parliamentarians sympathise with her immediate family, people of Ekiti local government and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) family in the State over her demise.
The statement further prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and strengthen the family she left behind.
