Kwara State has discharged 10 Covid-19 patients on Sunday just as it has recorded four casualties since it first discovered the pandemic, a strain of the deadly coronavirus in the state.
The new figure was contained in the periodical graphics released by the state government which details the statistics of the pandemic in the state. National Pilot accessed the information on Sunday night.
According to the latest information uploaded by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor who also doubles as the spokesperson of the Kwara Covid-19 technical team in the State, Rafiu Ajakaye, the positive cases was put at 150.
“The state has had 150 confirmed cases, while 71 have since recovered and discharged, 75 cases are still active.
“The total number of tests conducted stands at 1,642, as 79 test results are still being awaited while 1,409 has returned negative.
The latest result is coming on the heels of complaints by citizens of the state over the manner that directive on social distancing has been flouted.
According to the updates, “Kwara today (Sunday) discharged 10 Covid-19 patients after testing negative twice”.
“Thanks to the political will of the Governor and efforts of our gatekeepers who are making the state near victory the pandemic”, the update added.
