Kwara in total lockdown as workers down tools
The industrial action embarked on by the Kwara State labour unions is witnessing a total compliance throughout the State, National Pilot, reports.
It would be recalled the Labour union via a communiqué jointly signed by Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore, Comrade Ezekiel Adegoke and Saliu Sulaiman of the Nigerian Labour Congress; Trade Union Congress; and the Joint Negotiation Committee respectively, had vowed to embarked on indefinite strike, if government fails to attend to their demands after expiration of a 14-day ultimatum which lapsed in the midnight of Monday (early this morning).
Our checks on some government offices this morning to places like the two State Secretariats, the Local Government Service Commission, Civil Service Commission, Teaching Service Commission, various ministries, Courts among others were all under lock and key as at the time of filing this report.
