Expo 2020: Kwara COED, Ilorin ranks 9th in Nigeria

Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, has been ranked 9th among tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by Provost of the institution, Professor Yusuf Abdulkareem, during an interview with our reporter in his office, on Friday.
He further disclosed that the school will be representing the country at an educational competition in Guatamela, America.
According to him, “Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin has been given awards and will represent Nigeria in Guatamela. We have been ranked 9th among institutions that attended Expo 2020 which includes universities and polytechnics.
He stated that the institution has been remodeled and moved to an enviable international height.
“The school has been remodeled to be a functional College of Education as it is ranked 9th best higher institution in Nigeria.
“Just to let you that we have achieved what has never been achieved in the history of the College. The level of development in the College now is excellent. We have trained all our staff to be computer literate.
He noted that all activities in the school are student-oriented, which has given the students confidence to compete favourably with their peers in other tertiary institutions.
“We are now preparing our students for entrepreneurship as they will obtain a certificate with NCE certificate on graduation,” he said.
Yusuf attributed the development so far recorded in the College to good leadership
“We thank God for everything. We must know that it is the leadership that determine what the followers do. We were able to implement our policy to fruition as a result of responsible leaders.”
The Provost stated that the emergence of the novel coronavirus has enable the management to think outside the box.
