Kwara Hair Dressers, Cosmetologists train 1,800 students, others

The Kwara State hair dressers and cosmetologist have trained no fewer than 1, 800 people within one year.
This was made known by the President of the association, Mrs. Funmilayo Oladunjoye who is also the CEO of Decent Salon during an interview with our reporter.
She said that the achievement was recorded within her one year in office as the president.
Oladunjoye added that the association has trained 100 students in hair dressing and cosmetology recently.
“Mekunu Forum enrolled students for free training with us. So also NDE through Federal Government enrolled 200 students whom we trained. The trainees and the trainers were empowered by the agency.
“Alhaji Moshood Aigoro and Aigoro Foundation also collaborated with us in empowering our members with the sum of N20,000 for 20 beneficiaries.
“SEAP also gave us loan on low interest and over 1,500 member benefited.
“The Kwara State government also supported us during COVID-19 lockdown as palliatives were given to our members.
The Kwara State First Lady, Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazaq also empowered our members with working tools.
“All these achievements were recorded within one year and more are still coming,” she stated.
The president, then urged member of the public and well meaning people to help in the development of human capacity of Kwarans, adding that government can’t do it alone.
