NFF Finally Pays Super Eagles 2019 AFCON Bonus

The Super Eagles will be approaching the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations with a big smile on their faces after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that they have paid the bonus of Nigeriaโ€™s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Recall that the Super Eagles finished the tournament as the third-best team after beating Tunisia 1-0 in the Third-Place match. After the encounter, the NFF could not pay the bonus of the players.
BBCโ€™s Oluwashina Okeleji confirmed this announcement via his official twitter handle, where he noted that the NFF has finally paid the players that went to 2019 Afcon their bonus, although itโ€™s not clear if Rohr and Agu have also received their salaries.
The announcement will certainly charge the playerโ€™s morale, most especially ahead of the World Cup qualifiers. The Three-time AFCON champions also recently qualified for the 2022 AFCON tournament in Cameroon after topping Group L unbeaten in a group that consists of Benin, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho.
