It was like a drama yesterday at Old Yidi Road, Ilorin Kwara State capital as residents trooped out enmass in their tricycles to convey sands from neighboring communities to sand-fill large potholes that have worsened the situation of the roads in that street.
According to some residents who mobilised themselves in large numbers, series of letters was written to Government while a lot of meetings was held to draw attention of Governor Abdulraham Abdulrazaq and his aides to the horrible situation of the roads which had long become a death trap to passerby, but up till now, the government has not done anything to help them with the road and that the potholes are becoming so large such that they destroy their vehicles and Tricycles and cause serious accident in some cases .
The residents expressed their disappointment on the conduct of Governor Abdulraham Abdulrazaq whom they say has derailed completely from the promises he and his party made to Kwarans while taking intra-party fighting as his major assignment.
