It was the match for Nigeria stars to shine in the Bundesliga as defender Kevin Akpoguma netted for home team Hoffenheim only for Taiwo Awoniyi to salvage a point for Union Berlin.
Akpoguma hit target for Hoffenheim in the 14th minute after visitors Union Berlin had shot in front.
Awoniyi drew his team level at 2-2 on 47 minutes.
He has now scored twice in the Bundesliga and also grabbed a brace in the UEFA Conference League.
However, it was the second straight draw for his club, while Hoffenheim have four points after two rounds of matches having won their opening game of the new season.
