The Federal Road Service Corps (FRSC) has asked motorists travelling to or from the south-west via the Kabba-Omuo Ekiti federal highway to take alternative routes.
The motorists have been asked to use Kabba, Asaya, Ogidi and Ikare as alternative routes to or from the south-east.
Bisi Kazeem, FRSC spokesperson, in a statement shared with newsmen at the weekend, said the development is a result of a failed section of the road at Iyara LGA of Kogi state.
Kazeem said the federal ministry of works and housing is already working towards ameliorating the situation.
โ€œMembers of the motoring public and general commuters travelling from or to Southwest, through Kabba-Omuo Ekiti Federal Highway are hereby notified of a failed section of the road at Ikoyi under Iyara local government area of Kogi state,โ€ the statement reads.
