Again, commercial bus razed on Lagos-Ibadan Highway, three dead
Hours after a petrol tanker exploded and killed five persons at the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Highway yesterday, another commercial bus has been razed.
Three persons were said to have died in the second accident, which occurred around Sand Crete in Ogunmakin axis of the highway in Ogun State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that “the commercial bus coming from Ibadan went up in flames when it swayed off to the other lane and collided with a Jeep coming from Lagos.”
Ogun FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, told newsmen that, “A total of 17 persons were involved, comprising males and females. 14 persons were injured, including seven male adults and seven female adults.
“Three deaths were recorded from the crash. One of them was burnt beyond recognition.”
With the second road crash, eight persons were said to be burnt to death yesterday.
