Riot in Ojodu, students protest, burn vehicle

Students of Babs Fafunwa Millennium Secondary School, formerly known as Ojodu Grammar School on Wednesday took laws into their hands as they protested vehemently following the death of two of their students.
A truck which experienced brake failure rammed into students of the school crossing the road on Tuesday, killing two and injuring 12 others.

This led to mayhem in the area as the students and hoodlums went on rampage in Ojodu, burning vehicles.
On Wednesday morning, the students came in large number and staged a massive protest and rioted over the killing. The riot by the students led to successful burning of a bus on the road and caused pandemonium, with shops locked and the road deserted.

A large number of policemen were drafted to the area to quell the protest.
After things have normalised, the state government shut down the school and sent the students home.
