Mane’s class making Senegal ‘The Lion’s Den of African Football’ – Brady
Vice-chairman of West Ham United Karren Brady believes that Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane’s pedigree and influence on the pitch are transforming The Teranga Lions of Senegal into ‘the lion’s den of African football’ and is looking forward to seeing how Aliou Cisse’s team could live up to big expectation at 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Mane has scored nine goals and registered one assist from 18 games in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.
In her column for The Sun, Brady lauded Mane’s qualities going into the winter World Cup.
Mane has scored 34 goals in 93 games for Senegal. He has scored five goals in 11 Bundesliga games so far this season.
Senegal are in Group A of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Qatar, Ecuador, and the Netherlands.
The Teranga Lions have qualified for three FIFA World Cup finals; Korea/Japan 2002, Russia 2018, and Qatar 2022.
