The Kwara State focal person of the Social Intervention Programme (SIP) of the Federal Government, Elder Ayobola Samuel has described the list of 2017 successful volunteers of the scheme being circulated a sham.
Recall that a few days ago, the list of the 2017/18 alleged successful candidates of the N-Power scheme went viral on line thus;
“The Federal Government of Nigeria is pleased to announce the commencement of the second phase of the N-Power Volunteer Corps Programme, involving the selection of 300,000 successful applicants.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria wishes to congratulate all 300,000 successful applicants. They are encouraged to take this opportunity seriously by learning the skills that will brighten their future and also serve their communities with commitment and dedication.
“For those who have not been selected at this time, there is a waiting list and subsequent phase(s) will absorb more qualified applicants,” the statement read, adding that the selection into the second phase was undertaken in a transparent manner.
Reacting to the alleged list of successful candidates being circulated, Ayobola warned the public against falling victims to scammers, adding that a check with the National Coordinator, N-Power, Afolabi Imoukhuede has confirmed such information as fake.
“I have said consistently on this platform that the list being circulated is nothing but fake. You will hear first from us before any pronouncement will be made public,” he stated.
