One of the top kwara APC leaders, Musbaudeen Esinrogujo who is also senior adviser to Kwara state Governor on Rural mobilization has finally caved in to the demands of his parents to quit the administration of Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq. Esinrogunjo resigned from office this afternoon.
Esinrogunjo’s resignation was made known in a later signed by him on Monday and addressed to the Governor through the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Shaba Jubril.
According to the letter, Esinrogunjo stated that his reasons are personal and appreciated Gov Abdulrazaq for the opportunity given him to serve under his administration.
The letter reads,” I write to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant on Rural Mobilization.
“Your excellency sir, the resignation is personal reasons.
“While thanking you for the opportunity to serve under your administration, please accept my best wishes.”
It would be recalled that, three weeks ago, the deputy governor Kayode Alabi visited Esinrogujo to appeal to him on his decision, but Esinrogujo insisted that his parents ordered him to do so.
This development confirmed National pilot report published on Monday with headline” 2023: More Kwara APC leaders set to decamp as internal crisis festers in ruling party”
Effort made by National Pilot to contact Esinrogunjo proved abortive as calls put through to his phone were not picked, and text message sent to his phone and WhatsApp was not replied to as at the time of filing filing this report.
In his reaction, the state APC chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, said that he can’t say anything on issue pertaining to government.
“ Maybe he has been found wanting of anything or suspended for a reason. I don’t know, that is for the government, and they will inform the party if the issue has to do with party.”
When asked whether he has issue with the party, the chairman said Esinrogunjo’s matter has become controversial since he met the former senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
“ That issue is a big issue which the party need to look into critically. He is being investigated, and they are yet to submit a report. The report will determine whether he is with the Party or not.”
Esinrogunjo who is from Ilorin West Local Government area of the state, was a former students’ union leader, former local government chairmanship candidate of Ilorin West, and a grassroots mobiliser for the Otoge movement in 2019.
Before his appointment in October 2021, Esinrogunjo was a former National Vice Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students; National Vice President of the National Association of Kwara State Students; chairman of the NANS/Joint Campus Committee (NANS/JCC) Kwara State; Speaker of the Youths Association of Nigeria; a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s National Directorate of Youth Mobilisation; and a member of the Kwara State Transition Implementation Committee (2019).
