Gov Abdulrasaq Confirms National Pilot Story , Returns Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, Aliyu Kora Sabi as Commissioners

Former commissioner for Education, Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu and her Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs counterpart, Aliyu Kora Sabi were in the list of commissioner nominees the kwara state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq sent to the State House of Assembly today for screening and confirmation. This confirmed the National Pilot lead story on Monday titled, Cabinet : Six former commissioners may return, SSG, HOS may be dropped ”

In the story, it was reported that Modibbo-Kawu , Sabi and four others may return as commissioners.

According to the story, “the lucky commissioners who may be returned by the governor, six names were revealed to National Pilot over the weekend. They include the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Ibrahim Sulyman, Hon. Abubakar Sidiq Buhari who was the youngest in the last cabinet, Dr Abolore Afees who held the Tertiary Education portfolio, Aliyu Kora Sabi from Baruten who was in charge of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affiars ministry. Also expected to return are Mrs Oyeyemi Florence of Finance and Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu who was given back the Education portfolio”.

However, out of the six mentioned in the story, only Modibbo-Kawu from Ilorin South and Sabi from Baruten, made the governor’s cabinet list.
