Family, friends, and associates of late Mubarak Yusuf popularly known as Authority gathered at Alfa Yahaya area of Ilorin to give their last respect at the fidau held for him on Monday.
The Fidau which started around 10 am, featured clerics from Ustaz Yahaya Madraza and Zumurat munmi of Okuta gidi zone led by Shaikh Tonile Okutagidi who led the congregation in prayers.
Tears flowed freely as dignitaries present could not control their emotion during the event.
One of the clerics from Shaikh Yahaya’s Madrazat, Ustaz Abdulmunmini, charged the congregation to be doing good as death has no fix to death.
He further that, death will expose everybody as death exposed late Mubarak.
“ That is how death will expose everybody. We didn’t know that this is how popular and connected Mubarak is, as personalities and government officials grace his death. We didn’t know that our son was a big person. Your presence here today shows that Mubarak was not a bad person. Your gathering here today, is telling us that our son was a good person.”
Shaikh Abdulmunmini tasked the bereaved parents to take heart, adding that they should take the incident as a test from Almighty Allah. “ God has different ways to test Muslims. There is no person who embraced Islam that God will not test, to check such person’s Iman.”
He prayed that Almighty Allah should forgive all the sins of late Mubarak and grant him Aljana Fridaus.
Meanwhile, the Mother of the deceased, Hajia Habeebat Yusuf, find it very difficult to control her emotion as she was responding to the sympathizers in a grief-laden voice.
She Prayed that those comforting her will not suffer and experience what she is going through over the death of her son.
