Elder statesman, Oba Ajara marks 88 with pomp as Saraki, traditional rulers, PDP family, clerics, dignitaries grace event

Tuesday, October 17, 2023, was a great day for Alhaji Abdulkadir Oba Ajara as he turned 88 years old and celebrated the occasion in style with family and friends.
Oba Ajara was one of the strongest allies of the late Olusola Abubakar Saraki who remained rooted in Saraki’s political ideology.
The event took place at his house situated at Wara area of Ilorin, the state capital.
The Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the event congratulated the celebrant who is also an elder of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara, on his birthday anniversary, describing him as a pragmatic leader and loyal party man.
Saraki laud Oba Ajara for his sacrifices and a strong commitment to the service of the party, stressing that his leadership qualities have contributed to the stability and unity of the party in Kwara State.
“I heartily join his family members, friends, associates, party faithful, and well-wishers in thanking Almighty Allah who has granted Baba the opportunity to live until this moment. Celebrating the 88th birthday is a great milestone and a rare privilege.
“I appreciate his sacrifices and strong commitment to the course of the party, and also acknowledge the wisdom and maturity with which he has been contributing to the affairs of our Party. His exceptional leadership qualities have no doubt contributed to the stability and unity of the party.
“As he celebrates his 88th birthday today, I pray Almighty Allah to continue to bless Alhaji Abdulkadir Oba Ajara with the required wisdom, and strength and grant him a longer life in the service of his Creator, our Party, and the community at large.”
The celebrant while speaking with National Pilot said he was happy seeing people around him.”I feel fulfilled, I feel happy seeing people around me to celebrate the day with me.
” I also feel happy for our supporters, PDP family who dedicated their time to celebrate my day.
The journey was so rough and good, and I thank God. I thank my wife, children, the whole family, Islamic scholars present here today and friends.
Oba Ajara said, the most very important achievement in life is that people love him, and he loves people.
At the venue of the birthday ceremony in Ilorin, Kwara State, former President of the 8th Senate, traditional rulers, politicians, business moguls, Professionals including friends, family members, associates, PDP family among other dignitaries across the state and beyond were there to mark the day for the celebrant.
It was a colourful ceremony for Alhaji Oba Ajara as he was full of joy seeing his sons, daughters, grandchildren surrounded him.
Oba Ajara was looking healthy and elegantly dressed in a butter colour guinea cloth, well-designed , he was accompanied by family and her associate in to the well gathering .
The event is of two segment the prayer section and reception. The prayer part of the event feature recitation of dalailu khairat, followed by recitation of Al-Quran Kareem by the Islamic scholars.
After the prayer prayer segment,the reception follow up where everyone were dancing eating different kind of variety of food.
The event feature,Kwara base musician popularly known as Marshall,Igijegede,Ayanwale,Kwara state art and culture crew to entertain the guests.
