Saraki Mourns Jebba Tanker Accident Victims ,Prays for Survivors * PDP Calls for More Proactiveness in Disaster Management in Kwara

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commiserated with the families of the people who lost their lives in a fuel tanker accident that occurred on Saturday along the Ilorin-Jebba Express Road in Moro LGA of Kwara State.
This was contained in a statement by his Press Officer on Home Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, on Monday.
Saraki described the incident as unfortunate and heartbreaking.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries and currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
“The fuel tanker accident along Ilorin-Jebba Express Road was unfortunate and extremely heartbreaking. We share in the grief of the families of the victims and pray that God grant them the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” Saraki said.
In a similar development, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has sent its deepest sympathy to the victims of Fallen Trees around Oke Adini Junction, Sango-UITH Road, Ilorin where scores of people were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries with some reportedly lost their lives, leading to youths of the community mounting barricades on the highways to protest the loss of their loved ones.
The party also commiserated with the families of the people who lost their lives in a fuel tanker accident that occurred on Saturday along the Ilorin-Jebba Express Road in Moro LGA of Kwara State.
The party said: “In the same vein, we commiserate with victims of the Bode Saadu/Jebba expressway accident, where a military officer and a civilian were both casualties”.
Also the Party, in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara(Sholyments), commiserated with the affected people and government of Kwara over the fallen tree which reportedly claimed the lives of two persons while scores sustained various degrees of injuries along Oke Adini UITH Road, Ilorin.
“At this dark hour, our prayers are with residents of Sango/Oke Adini community, in Ilorin, people of Bode Saadu/Jebba in Moro LGA, and the Kwara state government.”
“While praying that God grants the families of the affected victims the fortitude to bear the pains, we urge our youths not to vent their anger by taking laws into their hands but allow Disaster Management Officials of the government to do their works without fear of harassment.”
“We also call on the Government to rejig the state’s emergency response team in a manner that will make them more proactive, and responsive and as well educate our people on how to prevent disasters in their communities”, the Party submitted.
