My Dad knew he was going to die – Former NBA boss, Manzuma * .says ‘he trained me through school to be a lawyer’

The one-time chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin Branch, Barrister Manzuma Issa today, revealed that his late father, Muhammed Buhari Issa, had premonition of his death.
Manzuma, who burried the remains of his father in an Islamic rites, told Pilot Law after the event that the deceased knew his time was up, hence, he told him to stop buying drugs nor taking him to the hospital for further treatment.
Manzuma recalled how the deceaaed adviced him to read law and also trained him through school saying he will forever miss him.
According to him, the deceased whom he fondly reference as Baba, was a farmer, a mediator and a dispute solver who had strong believe in God.
He added that everyone in the community loved Baba for always solving crisis amicably saying why people cry over his demise was because of this virtue which they found impeccable.
“The testimonies on the lips of many when he was being laid down six feet beneath confirmed that he has lived a good life worthy of emulation.
“Baba was a dispute solver, a mediator committed to solving crisis amicably and he’s going to be missed for this virtue. He had soft spot for everyone. He had premonition of his death, he told me to stop buying drugs nor taking him to the hospital for treatment, but, we couldn’t take this advice because we must do our part for him as a good Muslim.
“He believed so much in God, reason he achieved virtually all his dreams and he taught us to always be grateful in all situations and at all times”.
