Human Rights Activist and public policy analyst Comrade Mashood Lanrey Osho expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Hon. Ali Bahago Ahmad Patigi. In his message, Osho conveyed his shock and sadness at the loss, describing it as a significant blow to Patigi, Kwara State, and Nigeria as a whole.

Reflecting on his encounter with Ahmad Patigi during his tenure as a House of Representatives member, Osho recalled a meeting that took place at Patigi’s GRA office, where he was accompanied by Barr. Lukman Raji Lukinggud and Amoye Bola. The four-hour meeting left a lasting impression on Osho, who described Patigi as a “true gentleman and philanthropist.”

” I had the privilege of meeting him once, alongside Barr. Lukman Raji Lukinggud and Amoye Bola , when he was a House of Representatives member. He invited us to his GRA office, and we had a four-hour meeting. He was a true gentleman and philanthropist,” Osho said .

Osho further declared that: ” His legacy, Ahmad Patigi University, promotes Patigi and Kwara State’s image. His and Senator Rafiu Ibrahim’s passing this year remind us that death is inevitable, regardless of wealth. Only our good deeds will ensure a peaceful afterlife.”

Amid the hardships faced by Nigerians due to economic challenges, corruption, and embezzlement, Osho called on those in positions of power to reflect on the impermanence of life. “Those who have amassed wealth through public funds should remember they won’t live forever. Their good deeds will be their only companion in the hereafter,” he said.

Osho concluded with a prayer for the departed, asking Allah to forgive Patigi’s shortcomings and grant him a place in Al Jannah Firdaus, while extending his condolences to the people of Patigi and Kwara State.
