Massive Turnout as Kwara Bids Farewell to Late Head of Service, Modupe Oluwole * She was an amazing person. She has left a good legacy – Former First Lady, Omolewa Ahmed

A mammoth crowd gathered on Thursday at the Banquet Hall, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State, for the service of songs in honour of the late former Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 59.
The event, which commenced at 2 p.m., attracted dignitaries from various government parastatals in Kwara State. The event hall was filled to the brim as many sat under the tent provided within the hall premises with their eyes glued to the screen positioned under the tent to catch glimpses of the program.
Among the notable attendees were the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Kayode Alabi; former Kwara State Heads of Service, Alhaji Darako Muhammad, Hajia Zarah Omar, and Alhaji Adelodun; former Commissioner for Economic Planning, Alh Wasiu Odewale, former Permanent Secretaries, Alhaji Mudashir Alabi; Prince Sulaiman Fagbemi, Mohammed Koro,and former First Lady of Kwara State, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, among others.
Emotions ran high during the tribute session, as friends, family members, and colleagues reflected on the exemplary service and selflessness of the late Modupe Oluwole. Many in attendance expressed deep admiration for her dedication to public service and her enduring impact on governance in Kwara State.
Speaking with National Pilot, the former First Lady of Kwara State, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, described the late Oluwole as a calm, hardworking, and amiable personality.
“She was a very sweet person, and for me, it was a privilege to know her during my husband’s administration. To me, she was calm, sweet, always smiling, and that’s one attribute you can’t take away from her. I didn’t work with her directly, but from the little opportunity I had to interact with her, she was an amazing person. She has left a good legacy,” Ahmed said.
The final burial rites for Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 5, 2025, with a church service at Rhema Church International, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State.
