Kwara Utd ’ll avoid relegation – Eghe

Kogi United midfielder Eghe Osas has backed Kwara United to avoid relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
Kwara edged out Nigeria National League club Kogi 1-0 in a friendly game which was played at the Kwara Stadium on Saturday.
Osas played the entire match and he discussed Kwara’s chances of surviving relegation.
“It was really sad that we lost but I must admit that we had a good match against Kwara United,” Osas told Goal.
“Kwara put up a solid performance and stopped us in every attempt that we made to score. We really had our own chance to score but didn’t take them.
Kwara are currently placed 15th on the league standings – a point above the relegation zone.
“We conceded from set-pieces which I would blame on loss of concentration. It was just a friendly and I believe it will certainly toughen us ahead of our league resumption,” he added.
“I must give credit to Kwara for the way to organise themselves and managed to win. I believe they have all it takes to remain in the Professional League.
“We will pick it up from here and ensure that we don’t repeat similar mistakes in the future.”
