You’re God’s chosen, Christians reminded

“We’re kept alive not because we have no sin, or know how to pray better or righteous but because God loves us and made us His chosen ones”.

Deacon Aina Stephen of Word Assembly, Ita Elepa branch made the declaration penultimate Sunday while speaking on the topic; “The grace of God, power that saves mankind”

The man of God added that despite the prevailing calamity in the country, God’s mercy has kept the living.

He however quoted the book of Deuteronomy chapter 7 verse 6-7, saying, “For you’re a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the people on the face of the earth to be His people, His treasured possession. The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other people, for you were the fewest of all people.”

The man of God further posited that God is good and faithful, saying He’s always ready to keep His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.

He warned that God will not be slow to bring destructions to the ways of those who hate Him.

Deacon Stephen however maintained that good things of life will only abide with those who seek  first the kingdom of God.

 He advised, “abstain from any appearances of evil, then strive to please God by doing His will. God is coming back on a day no one knows, we must get prepared at all times for His coming.”
