Social vices prevalence, product of parental failure – Cleric

A Cleric, Pastor Taiye Oladipo has blamed parents for the societal ills in contemporary times, stressing the need for proper upbringing of children.
Pastor Oladipo stated this in his sermon delivered at the Sunday School thanksgiving of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, Kwara State, yesterday.
The Cleric who spoke on the topic “The role of parents and teachers in the upbringing of children”, called on parents to be alive to their responsibilities and train their offsprings in the proper way and the way of God.
He urged them to pray fervently for their children and teach them to be responsible in the society to ensure a peaceful and prosperous nation.
The Cleric implored parents to be exemplary and lay good foundation for their children.
However, Christians have been urged to always look unto God when they are passing through challenges of life.
This charge was given by  Primate of the Resolution Church of Christ National headquarters, off Coca Cola road Ilorin, Dr. Martins Olobatoke in his sermon yesterday, in preparation for the monthly forthcoming second Friday of the month interdenominational service with the theme “A Call to Victory”.
Olobatoke noted with delight that God is able to do all things if only Christians could rely solely on Him as the Alpha and Omega.
In his sermon, on Sunday,  Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C&S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina called on Nigerians regardless of their tribal background not to be wary of praying for continued peaceful  country, noting that development could only be recorded  under a peaceful atmosphere.
On his part, Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo who centred his message on “Anionting for breakthrough,” enjoined Christians to remain holy unto  God.
This form the essence of his sermon, which was delivered at the church auditorium, yesterday, as he stressed that it is only when believers are holy that the anointing can perfect what their heart desires from God.
Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, in his preaching on Sunday,  admonished Christians to adhere strictly to the  Holy book by imbibing the  teachings of the scriptures in their daily activities to reflect Jesus Christ in them.
Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the CAC Anusogolorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin identified appreciating God through thanksgiving as the only way to receive more blessings from above.
