In a chilling discovery, an unidentified mutilated body was found dumped in the premises of Government Technical College in Ilorin on the 24th of April 2024.

The victim’s head bore signs of being brutally smashed, while both hands had been gruesomely severed, raising disturbing questions about the motives behind this horrific act.

Reports revealed that the victim was brought to the location in a tricycle popularly known as keke napep, and left at the school premises under the cover of darkness.

The School’s security man had reportedly caught sight of a Keke Napap driving towards the school while he was making his security round on the night of the incident.

The school, it was gathered, had no fence.

The Keke Napep reportedly stopped at the far end of the school ground which aroused the suspicion of the security man.

Wondering what Keke Napep could be doing in that place at that ungodly hour, the security man reportedly approached the suspicious visitors, who hurriedly turned and fled in their tricycle.

Upon arriving at the spot where the Keke Napep had parked, the security man stumbled upon the lifeless body with its head crushed and hands severed.

He immediately put a call through to school authorities, reporting his shocking discovery.

The school authorities swung into action immediately and report the shocking incident to the police.

Upon being informed, the authorities at the G Divisional Police Station swiftly responded, and the body was subsequently removed from the scene.

It was gathered that the school authorities also reported the incident to the Ministry of Education for further action.

A source, recounting the events of that fateful night, disclosed, “We were alerted by the security personnel about the incident. He mentioned spotting a keke napep parked at a distance, yet by the time he reached the spot, the tricycle had vanished.

“Upon closer inspection, he found a lifeless body on the ground, its head brutally damaged and hands missing.

” The security promptly alerted the school community, leading to the involvement of the police, who evacuated the remains.”

When National Pilot visited the school, it was discovered that the principal was not available on-sit, and attempts to reach him for a telephone interview were unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.

In response to inquiries, the Kwara State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, confirmed the incident, revealing that the victim suffered head injuries from a stone before having both hands chopped off.

She told National Pilot in a Telephone interview that, no reports of a missing person matching the victim’s description had been received by the police.

DSP Toun assured that investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome incident and to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

She emphasized that surveillance operations have been intensified in the area, with law enforcement officials maintaining a vigilant presence.
