Basketball clinic produces 250 students

Parents of the pupils that are participating in the ongoing Dropletes Basketball Clinic in Ilorin have been urged to support the programme with gift items to encourage the children, as no fewer than 250 students honoured the event ends at the weekend.

The organiser of the clinic, Mr. Tunji Ayeni made the appealed on Tuesday while addressing the parents at the clinic held at the Basketball Court of the Kwara Stadium.

Ayeni, who said sports cannot be sponsored by individual however urged the parents donate gift items like soft drinks, biscuits, toys and other material things that would motivate the pupils.

The former Kwara Falcons basketball player made the parents to realised the importance of the clinic, while urging them to encourage their children to continuing playing the game, even after the clinic.

Also speaking, a member of the Kwara State Basketball Association, Mr. Micheal Aina employed the parents to inform the proprietors of their various schools to build mini basketball court in their schools.

The clinic, which produced more than 250 students, would come to an end on Saturday 29th of July, 2017 at the Indoor Sports Hall of Kwara Stadium, Ilorin.
