The management of Ajayi Crowther University has warned its students against bringing to the campus clothes that are in variance with the institution’s dress code.
According to a statement issued by the university at the weekend, the students were warned to strictly comply with the institution’s dress code in respect of the dresses they have in their luggage.
The management warned students against wearing tight, short skirts and see-through dresses, skimpy dresses, body hugs and other revealing dresses.
It also condemned hairdos like dreadlock, gallas, fadeout, rough coil and bushy hair and wearing of jeans, tight trousers and all other forms of tight fitting clothing on campus.
“If a student has a dress which is at variance with the dress code, the parent/guardian will be required to take the dress away as the University will henceforth not keep such dresses for the students.
“All students (both male and female) must comply with the regulations in respect of hairdo/hairstyle, beard, moustache, whiskers, etc.
“Any student who is found to be non-compliant will not be allowed into the campus and will be required to go to the town to effect a redress of the issue.”
The management called for the support of parents and guardians to avoid any form of embarrassment for their children/wards during the screening and clearance processes on resumption.
