Halleluyah, tool for spiritual warfare
The Pastor-in-Charge of Vine Parish, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Gideon Majekodunmi has stressed importance of ‘Halleluyah’ in the spiritual warfare.
In a sermon during the August Thanksgiving held at the church auditorium on Sunday, he recalled that the wall of Jericho was destroyed when the Israelite praised God by shouting thunderous Halleluyah.
Pastor Majekodunmi, then urged Christian to shout Halleluyah always in order to overcome their enemies, adding that miracles happen when Christian worship God in truth and spirit.
He stated that the shout of Halleluyah unsettles enemies of God’s children, hence the need for Christians to use it as weapon unto victory.
According to him, “the shout of Halleluyah threatens the enemy. It creates timidity in the minds of your adversaries and confusion in their camps.”
The pastor pointed out that the shout of Halleluyah could destroy stubborn enemies, citing example of King Pharaoh in the Bible, who was adamant on not letting the children of Israel go but met his waterloo when the Israelites praised God while he, his men and chariots perished in the Red Sea.
On situations that could propel Christians to shout Halleluyah, he said when lost glory is restored like in the case of King David in the Bible who danced and praised God when the ark of God was returned to Israel.
In addition, Pastor Majekodunmi said when Christians get great expectations; they are expected to shout Halleluyah to praise God.
