The Kwara State police command has arrested one Daniel Oladipo for breaking into the house belonging to Mr. Abdulkadir Mustapha of Olalekan Close, Fate area, Ilorin, Kwara State recently.
The suspect reportedly carried out the burglary while the house owner travelled out of town last month.
The suspect allegedly carted away items and set ablaze vital documents belonging to Mustapha and his housemate, Bernard Amosun.
The case according to a source was reported at the ‘E’ Division Police Station, Kulende area, which led to arrest of the suspect by the police following tip off.
He was said to have confessed to the crime during interrogation.
“Oladipo is a notorious criminal terrorising residents of the area and investigation is still ongoing to fish out his accomplices,” the source informed.
When contacted the State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Ajayi Okasanmi said he was not aware of the case.
