Kwara State Football Stakeholders Forum has congratulated the management, players and staff of Kwara United for their promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman and the Secretary of the forum, Alhaji Lanre Jaji and Mr. Oba Yahaya, praised the contribution of state Governor Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed on prompt release of funds that helped them to achieve their promotion ambition.
The state equally praised the effort of the President of the club, Prince Oladimeji Thompson and other stake holders, which gave the team moral to excel in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Northern Conference.
They also charged the stakeholders for more support to the club in their quest to pick a continental ticket in the forthcoming NPFL season.
The release however appreciated the supports of medial houses, especially the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Kwara Chapter for adequate publicity given the team, which helped them to achieve the desire result.
Kwara United placed first in the just concluded Northern Conference NNL.
