Covid-19: Lawmaker, KWHA Commission chair, commissioner, others provide palliatives for 1000 households

The member representing Omupo constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Abdulganiyu Salahudeen, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Harriet Adenike Osatimehin, Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Pastor Adedayo Samuel and Chairman nominee, Kwara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Femi Yusuf have jointly distributed relief materials to about 1000 households in their constituency.
Items distributed include rice, garri and hand sanitizers among others which cuts across all the eight (8) wards in the constituency to cushion the effect of the lockdown as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
The benefitting communities include Idofian I and II, Igbaja I, II and III, Omupo, Ora, and Agunjin wards.
The items were received with joy and the people expressed profound appreciation to the donors describing the gesture as not just highly important but very timely.
The Chairman of the Kwara State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Femi Yusuf in a chat with National Pilot said the distribution of the relief materials was an initiative of Hon AGF Salahudeen, and was supported by other political office holders in the constituency which includes the commissioner, the Governor’s aide on Religion Matters and himself.
He also noted that the distribution of the hand sanitizers took into cognisance all hospitals in the constituency, and duly appreciated the contribution of the lawmaker representing Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun constituency at the federal House of Representatives, Hon Isma’il Tijjani for lending his support to the success of the program.
Speaking to newsmen at the end of the event, Hon Salahudeen assured all constituents of his support and that of other political appointees in the constituency.
He reiterated that they will always be supportive to the people in times of need and advised them to stay at home, follow all government directives, and pray for the world to survive the Covid-19 pandemic.
