The first edition of the U-18 Private Secondary School Basketball championship hosted by the University of Ilorin secondary school is billed to commence on Friday 10th of November 2017.
Speaking with Journalists in Ilorin, the Organisers of the competition revealed that the obvious aim of the tourney is to develop Basketball at the grassroots level, revealing that a certificate of participation will be given to participants of the competition, alongside a trophy for the winners.
The two days basketball competition for boys and girls will feature four private secondary schools in Ilorin; University of Ilorin Secondary School, Thomas Adewunmi International School, Omu-aran, St Charles College Offa Garage and Flora International School Ilorin.
The tournament will end with a closing ceremony to be held on Saturday 11th of November 2017.
