The Kwara Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has appointed members into various committees.
The Secretary of the association in the state, Olayinka Owolewa in a statement on Thursday in Ilorin said the executive reached the decision to make the appointments after its inaugural meeting on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the committees are Education committee, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and Award Night Committee.
According to Owolewa, members of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee are Alloy Chukwuemeka, Abdulhakeem Garba and Bayo Abubakar.
The Education Committee members are Bayour Issah, Bayo Abubakar, Abdul Momoh, Ibrahim Alege, while Olayinka Owolewa is to serve as the Secretary.
Three Members to be headed by the chairman are also appointed to set the tone for an award night and report to the executive after which a committee will be put in place to organise the award.
Owolewa said the chairman, Mallam Jimoh Bashir thanked members of the association for the way they conducted themselves before, during and after the election.
The executive also appointed Mr Kayode Okunola and Abdulwaheed Bibire as Ex-officios.
