Kwara Open Golf Tourney: Ilorin, Abeokuta maintain top spot

 

Eric Ozuzu, Ilorin Golf Club Lateef Lasisi and Abeokuta Golf Club are the board leader in Senior Category at day-two of the on-going 2017 Kwara Open Golf Championship.

The 5th edition of the golf tournament, which kicked off on Tuesday saw 73 professional and amateur golfers across the country assembled at the Ilorin Golf Club to compete on the lush greens of the club.

Also, Oche Odoh and Daniel Pam of IBB international Golf and Country Club Abuja led the board of regular category.

Emos Korblah, Achimota Golf, Ghana maintained the second and Sunday Olapade of MicCom Golf Country Club, Ada placed third in the keenly contested game.

The tournament continues today, Wednesday with both regular and senior categories, as the champion will be determined at the weekend.

The event will be rounded up on Friday 10th, while other categories of amateur, ladies and veterans will fight for honours on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of November, 2017.

Expected to perform the ceremonial tee off on Saturday is the Executive Governor of the state Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed while the NGF President Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola is expected to take part in the event.

Presentation of prizes and closing ceremony will come up 7p.m on Sunday 12th November 2017 at the Ultramodern Muhammed Lawal clubhouse.
