An alleged notorious criminal, Tajudeen Ayinde is cooling his feet in police net at the Kwara State command following his arrest for robbery in Ilorin, penultimate Sunday.
He was reportedly on the wanted list of the police for criminal acts perpetuated alongside his accomplice within the metropolis in recent time.
Pilot Crime gathered that Ayinde and his gang members, now at large, stormed a shop belonging to one Oluwafunmi Joy, Maraba area and dispossessed her of cash, being proceed for the sales on the fateful day.
Luck seems to have ran out on the suspect as he was arrested by people in the neighbourhood following the alarm raised by the victim while the gang members attempted to flee from the scene.
According to a police source, the suspect was thereafter handed over to the men of the Special Anti-Crime Squad (SARS).
“During investigation, it was discovered that the suspect and his gang had robbed one, Abdulraheem Kunle of Alalubosa area of Maraba at Shoprite.
“The suspect robbed him of his Gionee Mirror M6 phone valued at N58,000 and cash at gun point. He has confessed to the criminal acts and efforts are on to arrest other fleeing members of the gang,” the source further disclosed.
When contacted the State Police Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed arrest of the suspect.
