NPFL: Plateau Utd, Tornadoes grab away wins

Plateau United started the defence of their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title on an impressive note following a 1-0 away win against Nasarawa United at the Lafia Township Stadium on Sunday.
Raphael Ayagwa stunned the home fans with an excellent finish three minutes from time.
In Ilorin, Kwara United’s return to the top flight ended on a sour note as they lost 2-0 at home to Niger Tornadoes.

Fans at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt went home happy following Rivers United’s 1-0 win against El-Kanemi Warriors.
