APC spokesperson denies resigning his position

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has dismissed the speculations of his resignation as the spokesperson of the party.
An online medium had reported that the APC National Publicity Secretary had resigned and moved his belongings away from the party secretariat.
But reacting to the report trending in the media, the ruling party’s spokesperson said in a telephone chart that there was no iota of truth in the report.
However, the party spokesperson had been absent from the National Working Committee meetings of the party, a situation that had fueled the speculations that he may have concluded arrangements to leave the party.
The anxiety over Abdullahi’s future with the rułing party came from the believe in some quarters that he is mole in the party due to his closeness to the embattled Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
However, reacting to the speculations, Abdullahi said to New Telegraph that he is not considering leaving he party, stressing that he came through the front door and will not go through the back door.
Defending his absence during the NWC meeting, he said that he actually notified the national leadership of his absence from the meeting.
He said, “It is not true that I have resigned and let me emphasis that there is no iota of truth in it. I can understand where the speculation is coming from perhaps because I was absent during the NWC meeting on Monday.
“However, they didn’t know that I told my colleagues that I was away to Kwara state. I want to put it on record that I came through the front door and I decide to leave, I will leave through the front door.”
