While most Nigerian artistes tend to team up with C-listers (at best) when it comes to international collaborations, Wizkid has been fortunate enough to steadily work with the best international artistes like Drake and Lil Wayne, just to name a few.
Now, the Afro pop singer has revealed that he has an upcoming collaboration with the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj.
Almost nine months ago, Wizkid and Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to share a picture of both of them together. While fans immediately assumed that meant they were getting collaboration, nothing had been confirmed until now.
Speaking with The Beat FM’s Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi about upcoming collabos, Wizkid said: “I’ve got a couple big ones coming up. I’ve got one with Nicki [Minaj] coming soon. ”
Though fans are not sure if what they are getting is a Nicki Minaj song with a attractive Wizkid chorus or a Wizkid song with a killer Nicki Minaj verse.
