Police nab man for robbery

A41-year-old man, Tajudeen Hassan from Gboko, Benue State is cooling his heels in police net in connection to a car robbery in Ilorin, Kwara State, last month.
Pilot Crime gathered that the suspect was apprehended for snatching a Honda CRV jeep with registration number FKJ 311 DF, at gun point.
According to police source, the case was reported at Ganmo Police station by one Cornelius Olugbenga.
He was said to have been attacked and robbed at the entrance of his Osin, Ganmo residence.
“Other valuables like Nokia Lumia 730 valued at N50,000; Samsung worth N35,000 and Nokia phone valued at N25,000 and cash of N50,000 were said to be in the car at the time it was stolen,” the source further said.
Investigation into the case reportedly led to the arrest of the suspect while his other gang members are still at large.
” The case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of the State Police Headquarters. The suspect during interrogation confessed to the crime.
” He also revealed the names of his accomplices as Rotimi Azeez and Alfa Rafiu. Investigation into the case also led to the recovery of a Toyota Corolla car which had earlier been stolen by the gang,” the source disclosed.
When contacted over the development, the state police spokesperson, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi told our reporter that he was unaware of the case.
