Kwese Basketball: Falcons seek second home win against Hoops
Match day two of the Kwese premier basketball league will take centre stage across the country on Thursday in both the Atlantic and Savannah conference where a total of seven games are scheduled to be played.
Kwara Falcons will host last year’s second runners up at the final eight, Hoops and Read who pip the Ilorin side to a third place finish at the event.
Both sides started the season with a win; Falcons outclass Oluyole Warrriors at home by 83-60 points while Hoops edge newly promoted Ebun Comets 60-70 in Lagos.
During last year’s campaign, both sides met seven times where Falcons won four and lost three, two of those defeats came during the final eight playoffs.
Ahead of the clash on Thursday, the host however, boasted of a hundred percent home record against the Olumide Oyedeji owned team, with two wins from their two previous home games which came during the 2017 season.
Heading in to game, Falcons coach, Lateef Erinfolami believed his players were yet to hit top gear and may have to rely heavily on the quartet of Mojuba Oyeleye, Mustapha Oyebanji (Ex Hoops Player), Sheyi Ajileye and Anaiye Johnson who all registered 51points between themselves out the the teams total haul of 83 points to see out the visitor’s.
