Speaking on the development, the airport Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul-azeez said “This is inline with our determination to put an end to cattle incursion and encroachment of the airport land.

“As an agency, FAAN wants to play by the rules by ensuring that the airport is fenced to curb these menaces,” he added.

The Airport Manager who spoke through the Head of Corporate Affairs FAAN, Mr. Adeyeoluwa Oluwakayode, stressed that the project is targeted at total fencing of the airport, adding that it would be done in sequence.

He revealed that the airport management has also concluded plans to set up a monitoring committee comprises of all the stakeholders to put an end to all illegal activities at the airport.

He therefore called on the host community to ensure safety of the airport and passengers at all times.
