Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi) resumedย at the Senate this morning after a running battle with the Police and moved from the All Progressives Congress (APC) wing in the Senate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wing.
Dino during plenary this morning, thanked his colleagues particularly members of the PDP for standing by him during his ordeal with the police. He thereafter asked that a seat be made available for him with members of the opposition party and afterwards will write a letter to the senate president formally defecting to PDP.
His relocation caused rowdy session at the upper chamber as both APC and PDP senators engage in a battle of words over the development.
At the moment, Melaye who appeared in neck brace is seated near the former Senate President, David Mark.
