Rafiu Ibrahim secures license for first female pilot in Kwara South

At a time her hope of becoming a female pilot appeared fading, Khadijat Olalekan Adigun was heped to actualise her dream by the Senator representing Kwara South, Dr Rafiu Ibrahim.
Ibrahim rallied round the young and promising Khadijat to secure her license with donations from him and his associates from Kwara South.
The lady whose story was first circulated on social media platforms attracted the attention of Sen. Ibrahim hence he decided to raise the money needed to secure Khadijat the license.
In the circulated report, the lady cried out for N5million to complete her payment before the license could be secured.
Sen. Ibrahim who personally saw the story online called the attention of his Senatorial Constituency Office to make enquiry about Khadijat and her needs.
According to report, the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) had earlier raised the sum of N500,000 for the lady who equally gathered the sum of N470,000 from personal donations. All that was needed as balance was the sum of N4.03million.
Moved by the zeal and outstanding performance of the lady, Sen. Ibrahim raised the sum of N4.2 million for Khadijat to collect her license and use the remainder for other logistics.
The lawmaker did the presentation of the balance recently in his Ojoku, Oyun Local Government Area country home to the female pilot. Khadijat, who hails from Offa broke down in tears in the presence of her benefactor even as she appreciated Sen Ibrahim for his contribution to her success story.
The beneficiary noted that the gesture of the senator will not only ensure she succeeds in her career but has also changed the story of her life. She prayed for the continuous blessings, divine guidance and called for political elevation of the lawmaker.
