Gobir hails Emir over success of Ilorin Grand Durbar

An entrepreneur, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, on the successful hosting of the Ilorin Emirate Grand Durbar ceremony.
Gobir, who is Waziri’n Kazar Hausa, stated this in a congratulatory message he issued, a copy of which was made available to Journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
According to him, the large turnout of sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate and invited guests from across the country and beyond to the grand durbar symbolized love and acceptability of the Emir to the generality of the people and called for sustenance of the cultural festival.
Gobir, who rejoiced with the Baloguns and all traditional title holders in the Emirate on the successful celebration of the Durbar, also praised the main organising committee of the festival under the leadership of Engineer Sulyman Yahaya Alapansanpa and security operatives for putting in place a befitting event .
The entrepreneur therefore charged residents of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole to remain peaceful and commit themselves to the task of building a new Kwara, stressing that the festival has further exposed the culture and the potentialities in the Emirate.
He added that the festival has also proved that the people of Ilorin Emirate can come together and relate as one big family regardless of political differences and jointly develop the ancient city.
Gobir also urged the people to be security conscious and participate actively in the forthcoming general polls to enable them elect credible leaders.
