Bill Cosby has been sentenced to 3-10 years in prison for his 2004 sexual assault of Andrea Constand.
The 81-year-old comedian was found guilty of drugging and assaulting Constand.
At his sentencing, the judge declared that Cosby was a “sexually violent predator” and must undergo monthly counselling for the rest of his life.
The sentencing follows an April 2018 conviction that found him guilty of the criminal charges against him by Andrea Constand, a university basketball coach who had accused him of raping her in 2004.
More than sixty women had accused Cosby of similar things. Constand alleged that Cosby gave her three pills he said would help her relax. She said instead it made her unconscious and was naked when she came to life.
The conviction puts a resolution to decades-long accusations by different woman that Bill Cosby, one time loved television figures in America, was a serial molester.
